DETAILED ITINERARY
Day
one :
Today you will depart from Durban and make your way with your guide
to Shakaland.
You will be heading North of Durban , and enjoy interesting commentary
en route.
You will arrive at Shakaland by mid afternoon .
Upon arrival – check in and make yourself comfortable before
the start of the amazing
programme which gives you an insight to the traditions of the Zulu
– “ the people from
heaven “. You will enjoy a walk through the village and an
vibrant show of cultural dance .
Dinner will be at the lodge – and in the most tranquil and
beautiful setting of Shakaland .
Over night - Shakaland D/B/B.
Day
two :
After the morning show , you will depart and head inland to the
sites of the Anglo Zulu wars.
The battle site of Isandlawana will be your first sight , where
your guide will emotionally
provide you with the story of this great battle between the Zulu’s
and the British where
thousands of Zulu’s attacked the British forces .
Lunch will be informal , and then you will visit the site of Rorkes
drift where the battle
continued, and a small force of British defeated a huge army of
Zulu`s.
After your day of emotional tales , you will check into the Isandlwana
Lodge which over
looks the mountain and is unique in its setting.
Over night Isandlawana Lodge D/B/B.
Day
three :
Today you will depart from the battle field sites, and make your
way the Drakensberg
Mountains – a world heritage site . En route you
will visit the Tulani museum for a
short while. Upon arrival to the Berg at about mid day – check
in and relax for the afternoon.
An optional tour to the Falcon feeding programme will be available
which is a great
experience to learn about the predator birds of the Berg !
Evening at the hotel .
Overnight Champagne Sports resort - D/B/B.
Day
four :
Morning at leisure before departing, and making your way through
the Midlands.
The Midlands Meander is a delightful route which
takes you through a farming region,
where farmers have created craft outlets and interesting shopping
is part of the day.
Your final stop will be Howick Falls – for a welcome cup of
tea and lunch, and an
opportunity to visit the highest falls in Natal .
Make your way back to Durban .

We require 20% deposit – via Bank transfer to confirm your reservation by 30 June 07.
The balance / cancellation is due by the 12th October 07
- Cancellations : All cancellations are requested in writing.
- Ten percent (10%) of the deposit paid will be refunded if the booking is cancelled prior to the full balance due date, being the 12th October 07.
- Fifty percent (50%) of the full amount , if cancellation is on or between 60 and 30 days before arrival
- One hundred percent (100%) of the full amount, if cancellation is 30 days or less
before arrival.
