Detailed itinerary
DAY ONE
Depart from Durban, Once the hunting grounds of King Shaka, the Hluhluwe-Umfolozi Game Reserve
abounds with animal and bird life. FromDurban, driving along the North Coast you will learn about
the Zulu wars, sugar farming along with other interesting local information.
Arrive at your destination. After settling Use this time to familiarize yourself with the Lodge and its
facilities for the afternoon you will be taken on an afternoon game drive. A boma is the setting for
dinner and you will overnight at your Game Lodge.

DAY TWO
A wonderful day of game drives, Game walks, the bush, and the search for the Big Five!!. Lunch will
be enjoyed in the lodge (own account) . Returning to the camp in the late afternoon a dinner under
the stars.
Overnight: Bushlands Game Lodge or Ubizane Tree Lodge or Mkuze Falls Tented Camp

DAY THREE
After breakfast on the third day, you will depart Zululand and travel to St Lucia where you can enjoy
a boat cruise on St Lucia Estuary, a World Heritage site, viewing the hippopotamuses and crocodiles
as well as the magnificent bird life.

After lunch you will return to Durban.

Centrally situated in Zululand within 300 acres of bush and game area and surrounded by over 300 000 acres of national parks, Bushlands Game Lodge offers clients the ultimate African bush experience. Luxurious wooden chalets built on stilts are elevated above a sand forest where many local game species can be found. Set in the cool, whispering tranquility of a fever tree forest, in the 1500 hectare (3750 acre) Ubizane Game Reserve here the Tree Lodge is a truly special retreat where you will be accommodated in luxurious stilted chalets. Each of our 24 luxury "Tree Lodges" include an en suite bathroom, a kingsize double bed complete with insect nets, bar fridge, tea and coffee making facilities and a private balcony with enchanting views into the surrounding fever tree forest.

5 OPTION:
The Mkuze Falls Game Lodge is located along the northern bank of the Mkuze River, in the heart of Kwazulu Natal. Overlooking the Mkuze waterfall, the tented lodge features 6 luxuriously appointed tents, accommodating 12 guests in utmost comfort and style. No children under 12 at Game Lodge.

3 AND 4 OPTION:
Lidiko L odge is a new stylish country retreat in the heart of the St Lucia World Heritage Site, offering 14 spacious double garden rooms, The rooms are stylishly decorated in an unique afro-colonial style and forms a courtyard around a sparkling pool. There is also a small library available to our guests. The lodge is situated in a luscious treed garden overlooking the Great St Lucia Lake, creating an atmosphere of serenity and peace.

5 OPTION:
Makatana Bay KwaZulu-Natal Safari Lodge offers visitors luxury accommodation with private personal service. The 6 individually set rooms can accommodate 12 people and are luxuriously fitted out with full amenities, fully air-conditioned with private decks. This Zululand Safari Lodge is the only privately owned and run safari lodge set within the Greater St Lucia Wetland Park World Heritage Site of South Africa. Children under twelve are regrettably not permitted.

DAY FOUR
After breakfast check out and depart on your next expedition! Your next stop is Shakaland! On your
arrival enjoy a traditional Lunch before being entertained by the Shakaland Zulu Dancers,you will
learn about Zulu culture, history and etiquette. After an enjoyable afternoon depart for Durban.
